April 21-30, 2001 First, the road trip between LV and SF.
The World's Tallest Thermometer,
in Baker, CA.
Jed, under the World's Tallest Thermometer.
We all thought this was the coolest road name we ever saw. Zzyzx Road. Ha!
The view to the left from the balcony
of my aunt's apartment in SF. Two nice old churches, then the Bay
The view straight ahead. That's the Bay Bridge out in the distance.
Aaron, Mike, Me, and Jed at the rehearsal dinner cocktail party at Bar G in San Francisco.
Jed, Me, and Aaron, doing the cell phone thang.
Dan, Me, and Aaron, many, many drinks after the rehearsal dinner. Actually, this was posed specifically for the purpose of taking a wild, pre-wedding picture. It wasn't that crazy at all. Still, I passed out about an hour later.
Before Dan's wedding. Starting with me on the right, that's Jed, Dan, Aaron, Dan's friend Mike, and Michael Carter, a friend from college.
Me and Carter at the wedding site, across the bay in Tiburon.
Old St. Hilary's church, where Dan got hitched. Beautiful spot. Couldn't have picked a better day for the wedding. The sky just opened up, and there wasn't a cloud to be seen.
Jed outside the church. I don't know what's up with the face he's making.
The view from the reception hall, and old steam ship cabin.
The view a block from my apartment. Up a huge-ass hill. That's Alcatraz there in the water.
The sea lions at the Fisherman's Wharf at Pier 39.
The sun rising on my last day in SF, around 6 am.
And the churches at the same time.
I need a new digital camera. |
