29, 1999. Tuesday
Well, today's the last full day of the Summer Scholars program. I have very little time to write, and the space bar on this computer sticks and makes typing a real chore. But I have a few free minutes so I thought I'd write a bit. This is maybe only the 5th time I've done my entry without using an HTML editor. Notepad is all I have availabe. Whoopee.
I had a very odd dream last night. This girl I knew from high school owed me $200 bucks for some reason. Jessica Smilko. How odd. I don't know why she was in my dream. There were some other people I used to know there too. I think it's because I was talking to Megan and Rodzilla yesterday about how much I really don't miss highschool. The three of us went down to Roanoke yesterday. It was a nice little day off. we legitimized it by getting some slides developed for the kiddies for a little slide show this evening. Yes. lotsa fun indeed. While we waited for the film, we went and saw the Adam Sandler movie Big Daddy. It was allright. Worth the price of a matinee I guess. We drove through a monsoon to get home though. It was a rather impressive display of nature. When we got back, two large trees, about 30 feet apart, had been obliterated by lightning. One was a giant tree that forked into two main limbs about 6 feet up, and that one had one side ripped off. The other was a smaller tree that fell onto the neighboring church. They were on the lawn that Washington and Lee holds it's graduation ceremony on. Anyway..
So I gotta go iron a shirt I guess. I'm a little bummed that the program is over. I didn't get to do as much as I'd hoped. Plus, Rodzilla is leaving in a few days. Hopefully this Hilton Head plan will come through. But I have to go to NY first to find an apartment first. Brother Geoff gave me some good news about a place in the East Village though, so hopefully that'll happen.
