So... Had a company holiday party tonight. Open bar and some good eats. At the Tribeca Grand. I believe Matt, Nora, Jed, and I stumbled in there this summer, late one Saturday evening. After getting some funny looks, we stumbled out. It's a classy joint. Anyway, i went over with James and other work people, and generally had an ok time. After two hours though, I was ready to go. So i did. I called Connie, the lady percussionist, and made plans to meet her upon my return to Brooklyn.Upon my return to Brooklyn, I called the percussionist. We decided to meet down at Bar Ries on 5th Ave. For some reason when I got down there, it was closed. But she was there, which was a nice surprise. As prone as I am to lateness, I'm often the one who's left waiting for people, particularly when I'm meeting someone in Brooklyn. Despite this qualification, I still get the feeling that Caryn would have a hearty guffaw at my claims at punctuality. Anyway, since the bar was closed, and due to the cold, blustery weather, we just went right next door to Ginger's, a lesbian bar of some renown. I noticed at the bar that they had a big jar full of water and ginger roots. That was a nice touch. Anyway, we had a few beers and some nice conversation. I've enjoyed hanging out with her in the three weeks that I've known her. Unfortunately, this friendliness will end promtply on thursday, when her boyfriend arrives for a lengthy visit. Heh. funny. Oh well.
Hey, do you like pictures?
