Mail to G-RockI had about the last eventful day in recent memory today. I did almost nothing at work besides surf the internet. The company is moving to Norfolk in a few days, so all the work has been packed up. And then I'll need to find a job. In the meantime, I sit around, eat donuts, and surf around online. It's not as fun as it sounds. So when I got home today, I thought I'd get started on my long awaited room rearrangement. While it sounds like a minor chore, I was actually dreading it, because I know how much crap I have. Little stuff under the bed, piles of papers, books, and most notably, dust. I can't believe how much dust was actually in this room. Absolutely incredible. Of course, having only swept or vacuumed two or three times in the last two year, I guess I shouldn't be that surprised. I watched A Fish Called Wanda while I swept up the place and moved shit around. I bought the DVD a while ago, but never got around to actually watching it. A lovely movie. Anyway, I really can't stop sneezing from all the dust in the air. Besides dust, the other two things found in absurd quantities were the little rubber bands Nora bought for her hair, and countless empty Trident chewing gum wrappers. Unbelievable. I knew we ate a lot of gum, but there must've been four score of wrappers all over the place. Is this exciting you? I can't imagine it would be. But it was such a boring day, and I was sitting here trying to remember what I wrote back when I didn't just recount my days and I might've had something a little bit interesting and people used to email me or sign my guestbook. Oh well. How about a naked picture of Nora to spice things up? She's not really naked. We took the picture at Jason's wedding in July. She only looks naked because she was wearing a dress with very thin straps. But if you want, you can use your imagination. You sicky piggy...
This was taken with the little Polaroid izone camera nora brought for her trip to New York. Much fun was had with it. Not only did it make some events more fun, it made boring events look much more fun than they actually were. Of course, though I bought most of the film, Nora took home all of the pictures. Typical.
Hey, here's another of Nora, at the same wedding, wearing the fake leaves of the centerpieces of the dinner tables on her head:

She still looks nekkid.
So anyway, my room is finally rearranged. It's how it was for two days when I first moved here two years ago. Ah, a simpler time. It's hard not to be sentimental when you have piles of pictures and letters, not to mention when you never throw anything away. So the cleaning and rearraning also ended up being an unintentional stroll down memory lane. Only through garbage and other refuse most normal people would've tossed years ago. I hate when i sit there staring at a Radio Shack receipt, and stare at the time and date and wonder if I kept it because it had any sort of significance. And I hate when I remember what the significance was, then hesitate to throw it out. It's a tough way to live. Sentimental and obsessive compulsive. Something I would wish on my worst enemy.
