Mail to G-RockWell, I've spent the last few days with Rodzilla watching a lot of movies. So far we've seen Pleasantville, Three Kings, The Big Lebowski, and we went and saw Mission: Impossible 2. They were all actually satisfying in varying degrees. M:I2 was sort of silly, but sylish, as are most John Woo movies. The Big Lebowski was fairly hilarious. I saw it on Geoff's recommendation. I like movies having something to do with bowling too.Last night Rodzilla and I had her roommate from France and her boyfriend over for dinner. I usually hate meeting new people, but it wasn't unpleasant at all. They're very nice people. But I think Andrea is too sensitive to the fact that I'm sometimes uncomforabtle in social situation, which makes things even weirder. but it was allright. All I've really been doing for the past few days is eating. Dinner last night was Rodzilla's chicken scampi. The recipe's key indgredient, besides chicken, is two whole sticks of butter. I think it's an old recipe. So with four of us eating, that's half a stick of butter for each of us. More for me, since I ate more than my share. Topped off with lots of cheese and brownies. I'm feeling kind of thick, in a buttery kind of way.
So I had a very vivid dream last night about Juliana Hatfield of all people. It was kind of weird, but very realistic. Basically, it was some sort of romantic drama or something. I'm not exactly sure what was going on. She was still "Juliana Hatfield," but I think closer to my age. But I approached her in a cd store. Curiously enough, she was buying one of her own cds. Anyway, i think it may be due to a review of her two new albums that I read in the Onion the other day. I used to kind of really like Juliana Hatfield, and I hadn't thought about her music in many years. So it't nice to see she's still recording. She just finished recording a reunion album with her old band the Blake Babies from what I understand. Anyway, I also noticed she's playing at the Bowery Ballroom at the end of June, so maybe I'll go check that out. Anyway, about the dream. All I really remember is that she really dug me. Which was cool. huh huh huh. and we were kind of in the woods, near a big, desolate city. In the dream I was still dating Rodzilla, so it was weird. I didn't want to break the news to Juliana, since she was all about me, although in a brooding rock star kind of way. Anyhow, somehow it all turned into this Judgement Day-esque thriller movie, with these gangsters chasing me all around the city. And then was this guy with a turbo charged motorcylce/rickshaw who traveled through the city on rooftops, and was being chased by the X-Files' Agent Scully. I eventually gave up in this back building, who's office doors worked like elevator doors. It was too confusing. Man, I gotta stop eating all that crap right before bed. But it was still the most interesting night of dreams I've had in a while.
Anyway, tired now. me go bed.
